HIROKO KOSHINO
1937: Born in Kishiwada-shi, Osaka
1957: Wins first place in the Japan National Designers Association Design Contest
1977: Debuts at the Tokyo Collection
1978: Koshino becomes the first Japanese designer to take part in Alta Moda, Rome
1982: Debuts at the Pret-a-Porter Collection in Paris. Koshino stays in Pret-a-Porter for ten years since that time
1997: Wins the 15th Mainichi Fashion Award
2004: Holds an exhibition at Ashiya City Museum of Art & History with her collection of works and drawings
2005: Produces the Cool Biz Collection at Aichi Expo. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment
2006: Holds the Kasane Exhibition at Daimaru Museum Tokyo. The exhibition features collaboration with the traditional arts and crafts of kimono
