Born in Tokyo in 1972. Graduated from Waseda University.
In 1999, Ando set up his brand DOPPELGANGER with some friends and took part in the Tokyo Collection. In 2005 he set up his original brand lessthan* and made his JFW debut at the 2006 SS collection. He participated in the Bread & Butter Berlin (Germany) in January and Rendez-Vous Paris (France) in March 2006. After returning to Japan, he appeared in the JFW 2006AW collection. Appointed a design director for rin, a new brand using Nishijin textiles. Entered the Young Designers ShowCase (Shanghai) in April and PittiUomo (Italy) in June. His collaboration denim brand, rin jeans japan, has also made its debut.
