YUKI TORII INTERNATIONAL
Graduated from Bunka Gakuin. Currently the third president of Ginza Torii, a boutique initiated by her grandmother and previously operated by her mother. In 1962, Yuki Torii exhibited her work at a collection of her mother Kimiko. Since then, the biannual collection has continued on a regular basis. In 1975, Torii debuted at the Paris Collection. She won the FEC award in 1976 and 1988. Torii opened a boutique at Galerie Vivienne in Paris in 1985. She is the author of Kimono Kimasho (Why don¡Çt you wear Kimono?), and she won the FEC special prize and Mainichi Fashion Award in 1995. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of her debut at Paris Collection, Torii won the Mainichi Fashion Award Special Prize in 2005.
Her works are popular with women who have a modern sensibility, and consistently appear in Japanese and overseas mode magazines. She has also designed many products under license.
