We hereby announce the 2006 Autumn-Winter Collection. For those of you who were here for 2006 Spring-Summer Collection, we are sure you are aware of how it went; but for those of you who weren’t here for the last time, let us explain our achievements. The 1st Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo was organized as the first experiment of a public and private partnership formed to boost the Japanese fashion business and combined “Creation,” “Textile” and “Apparel.” It turned out to be a large-scale event, with about 45,000 visitors. Thank you again for your support in making the event such a success.
　The 2nd Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo will be held from Friday, March 17th to Friday, March 24th for a total of 8 days. The main official venue will again be the Jingu-Gaien Memorial Picture Gallery. There will be 2 special tents in front for the collections, and another one on the baseball field for the Exhibition. As with the Overseas Collection Week, after the show each of the designers will participate in the Exhibition. We also intend to invite some designers who will only participate in the Exhibition.
　We also hope to see buyers from department stores, specialty shops and brand selection shops. Please fill out and send us the attached Official Form for Buyer Registration. After registration is complete, we will start sending out the buyer lists to all the designers who will be attending. Please note that we might not able to invite everyone who registers due to capacity limits. If we are unable to present you with an invitation, you may contact the designers directly. The official guidebook for JFW will be finished in early March, and we will send a copy to the Buyer in Chief on the registration form.
