Osaka-born Junko Koshino received the highly prestigious So-en Award while she was at Bunka Fashion College and completed Design Course in 1961. First joined Paris Collection in 1978. Koshino has showcased her works at numerous places including Beijing in 1985, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York 1990, Hanoi 1994 and Cuba 1996. Koshino also conducted Design Exhibition at the Museum of Chinese History and Revolution at Tienanmen, Beijing. Koshino has been working across the boundaries doing costumes for internationally acclaimed operas like The Magic Flute and Madama Butterfly, Broadway musical Pacific Overtures, sport uniforms and interior design.
