A Doshisha University graduate Horihata and a Kyorin University graduate Sekiguchi studied menswear design at Bunka Fashion College. Became pattern makers for different fashion labels in 1998 and served for five years respectively. Gained hands-on experience with runway collections while working for a London-based designer. Established their studio in Sendagaya, Tokyo in October 2004. Founded Lewsten in March 2005 and launched “matohu”. Their 3rd collection will be presented along with visuals for the first time.
